Since 2008 T1 conversions have tried various suppliers for all components required in the production of a Campervan. It takes time to get it right – after over a decade we believe we have now got the right package. Hundreds of individual parts are required to build the perfect Campervan.

The three main components are: 1. Furniture 2. Bed 3. Roof

Furniture

We have worked closely with Evo Motion Design from the start when John first set his business up in Poole Dorset. His company has gone from strength to strength and his furniture is exceptional. His company is continuing to adapt to the changing market, exciting new designs and finishes are always launching. We only use Evo Motion Design Furniture in our conversions.

Bed

We’ve used the Rib Bed for many years it is M1 tested to type approval EC directive 77/541/EEC and is also TUV approved. It is the market leader and produced in a French factory either sent to the UK trimmed in any fabric/leather or un-trimmed. You sleep on the underside so for sleeping it is a perfectly flat and comfortable surface. The bed looks like a bed and the seat looks like a seat. Used in all Sunshine Campers rentals it’s indestructible. These beds are available in four widths, with a 220mm sliding option and Isofix also available.

Roof

We are authorised fitters for Skyline Roofs. Skyline is a UK Company that has become the biggest manufacturer of pop top roofs in the UK

We are able to offer all Skyline products for VW Transporters including the new Aurora roof.

At T1 Conversions, we don’t use:

MDF – this will expand once damp and is very heavy, gloss spray painted versions will chip quickly.	SOLID WOOD / Hard woods. Very heavy, think about fuel economy!
BIRCH PLY strong but very heavy.	CHIP BOARD has all the same problems as MDF and has poor strength.
