How Long Does a Campervan Conversion Take?

One of the most common questions we get at T1 Conversions is, “How long will my conversion take?” The answer depends on your van, your layout, and how custom you want your build to be — but here’s a good guide to help you plan.

1. The Planning Stage

This is where the fun begins! Choosing your layout, colours, and features can take anywhere from a few days to a week, depending on how clear your vision is.

2. The Build

Once your donor van is ready and your design’s approved, we start the conversion. Because we only work on one van at a time, most of our customers are ready to drive away in under four weeks.

3. The Finishing Touches

We run through every detail — electrics, water systems, trims, and fittings — to make sure everything is perfect before handing over the keys.
